The Plan
Introduction
At Live Well Adventures we are committed to delivering exciting and enjoyable adventures with flexible itineraries. The information below is the basic framework around which our Island Wild Camping & Canoe Adventure is constructed. Further information will be automatically sent to you once you have made a booking to join our Island Wild Camping & Canoe Adventure.
Day 1: Exploration & Wild Camping
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your Live Well Adventures Paddlesport Leader (exact location will be confirmed once you have made a booking) where your adventure officially begins! Once all members of the adventure have arrived you will be given a brief by our amazing staff who will set out the overarching plan for the adventure and deliver key details for the day’s events.

​After that you will head onto the water and canoe across undoubtably one of the most magnificent lakes in the world! Along the way you will land on uninhabited, remote, and breathtaking islands, with views of the most picturesque fells – truly immersing yourself in the magnificence of the Lake District National Park!

​Embrace the awesome calming power of the natural world! You will continue your journey across the lake and head along a serene river, exploring remote corners of this incredible UNESCO World Heritage site!

After a full day of exploring, you will land on an uninhabited, remote, and truly wild island where you will make camp! Sleeping under the stars you will be presented with the perfect opportunity to mentally switch off, relax and reflect on the uplifting day you have spent in the beautiful landscape.
Day 2: Wake up on a Wild Island!
The following morning you will wake up in the heart of one of Britain's Premier National Parks, on an island within one of the most breathtaking lakes in the world. Now that is amazing!

After enjoying breakfast at your wild camp, you will board your canoe and head out onto the water! You will continue to explore the shorelines and open water and enjoy the natural beauty of the breathtaking landscape and water you are within.
​After an incredible few days in nature, you did it! You have been inspired by the breathtaking scenery and energised by your Island Wild Camping & Canoe Adventure!

Practicalities
Risk Management and Safety
Live Well Adventures has solid foundations when planning for potential risk. Our founder has over 18 years worth of experience in the British Army that is utilised and subsequently enables us to conduct high risk activities on a more routine basis. Experience and training for Live Well Adventures staff facilitates appropriate action to be taken under potentially dangerous and stressful conditions. Along with experience we implement detailed risk assessments recognised by industry that enable us to identify risks and plan to both mitigate them as well as minimise the impact should the need arise.

Catering
Cooking stoves and fuel will be provided for your Island Wild Camping & Canoe Adventure. You will be required to bring your own food and drinks for the duration of the adventure.
Expedition Canoes, Specalist & Safety Equipment
Live Well Adventures will provide you with beautiful Hou Prospector Expedition Canoes for your adventure. In addition, we will also provide you with paddles, buoyancy aids, sails, watertight storage barrels, tents (based on 2 people sharing 1 tent) and sleeping mats. We like to go above and beyond, we have you covered!
Qualified Paddlesport Leaders and First Aid
Our Live Well Adventures staff are appropriately qualified to lead you throughout your adventure and provide you with the level of assurance you want and need. As trained and experienced Paddlesport Leaders they are capable of addressing and dealing with multiple situations that may arise - in addition all our Paddlesport Leaders are first aid qualified.

Once you have booked onto our Island Wild Camping & Canoe Adventure we will send you a detailed kit list explaining exactly what kit we recommend you bring. However, please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss any kit requirements prior to making a booking.
